our world Between us we have thousands of sea miles under our belts and have sailed not only along the English Coast but also in France Greece Turkey Antigua and Cuba We have a great deal of experience in the Solent area where we have been based for the last few years Nick who is generally the Skipper is a commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster and Cruising Instructor The first mate will vary depending on the trip but will usually also be RYA qualified Melisa is From City Streets to the Open Seas Although we have both sailed since childhood we did the university thing and then developed careers in London Nick as a Project Manager within Telecoms and Investment Banking and Melisa in computer software within the Finance industry While these career choices certainly paid the bills the call of the sea had been growing in both of us for many years In 2006 we decided a career change was in order and that traditional wooden boats were the thing for us After deciding that Luke Powell was going to be the perfect person to create our dream we got him to build a boat specifically with chartering in mind Stunning sturdy and solid with plenty of space below decks and with the best Fridge Cooker Heating Power and Safety Systems money can buy Amelie Rose is truely the apple of our eye and a fine vessel upon which to carry out our mission We have been giving people the opportunity to sail for years now and really enjoy the journey people take from their first hesitant steps aboard to confidently helming into an anchorage under sail Our passion and enthusiasm for sail seems to rub off on others and people often want to come back If you d like
