    the agenda Turner Access provided working at height guidance competitions and product demonstrations throughout the show with visitors able to get a first hand look at the Turner OCTO Scaffolding System Deltadeck low level work platform and OCTO 250 Scaffold Tower Attracting over 15 000 delegates and 350 exhibitors the Safety and Health Expo 2015 was one of the largest expos to date featuring celebrity keynote speakers including Baroness Karren Brady Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE and Sir Chris Hoy Turner Access Ltd Managing Director Ian Wilson said With a number of visitors from the U K and international markets the Safety and Health Expo 2015 was an excellent opportunity for Turner Access to generate interest in all of our aluminium scaffolding and steel system scaffolding products A number of follow up orders and meetings are in progress already and I am delighted to announce that we even had an international winner of our prize draw for our DeltaDeck low level work platform which is already on its way to Qatar The National Access and Scaffolding Confederation NASC was also in attendance with the NASC Managing Director Robin James commenting The NASC is represented at this event because we want to

  • Turner Access Proud to Support the Govan Coming Home Centre for Veterans
    of the range of support services for veterans and their families and carers in Glasgow Offer a place for veterans to meet with kindred spirits to socialise and to be offered pastoral care and advice and assistance where needed Provide access to training courses and initiatives to assist in resettlement and employment In preparation for the opening of the Centre Turner Access provided an aluminium scaffold tower for painting and refurbishment work within the main hall A very small contribution to the fantastic work performed by the centre and all of their dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly raising funds and awareness Tommy Addison of the Coming Home Centre said The Coming Home Centre at the Pearce Institute would like to thank Turner Access Ltd for helping veterans in the co mmunity by supplying the scaffold tower which allowed us to reach points at height which required painting Turner Access was very kind in helping us out and we appreciate your help Thank you for your support The Centre was officially opened on the 28 th May 2015 by MSP Keith Brown Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with tea and coffee available all day and lunch served

  • Working at Low Level Height - The Safer Alternative to Stepladders & Ladders
    fall steps should be taken to do so It is worth remembering a fall from a low level height can be just as costly as a fall from a greater height The law states that ladders can be used for working at height when a risk assessment has shown that using equipment offering a higher level of fall protection is not justified because of the lower risk and short duration of use However a short duration should not be the deciding factor in establishing whether use of a ladder is acceptable or not The risk of fall should be considered first The HSE states that The Work at Height Regulations require the risk of a fall to be prevented wherever a fall is liable to cause personal injury This means that for any height where there is a risk of a fall causing personal injury then measures should be taken to prevent injury Collective protection solutions such as advanced guardrail systems are the recommended access equipment choice of the HSE when working at height cannot be avoided Collective protection removes the risk of fall and provides the user with a safe working platform at all times Ladders and stepladders may
