    Parcel Service 4 99 3 5 working days up to 0 9kg Max and under 60cm in length TNT Couriers 9 99 Next Day up to 4kg TNT Couriers 10 95 Next Day up to 15 5 kg TNT Couriers 14 95 Next Day up to 30 5kg Delivery times are 8 00AM to 6 00PM Monday to Friday TNT do require a signature upon delivery If there is a possibility that there will not be anyone in to sign for your order please leave a signed note for the driver Our couriers typically deliver Monday to Friday 9am 6pm Please note Saturday and Sunday are not classed as working days If you are from Northen Ireland or any of The Islands to avoid delays you must select the drop down option on the checkout screen which says Northern Ireland or Jersey or Guernsey Please note that for these destinations we cannot guarentee next working day For large volume orders a pallet delivery option is also available on request please phone 01278 691540 for more information Frequently asked Delivery questions Can I change my delivery address Unfortunately we cannot change a delivery address once the order has been despatched Do I need to sign for my delivery Yes a signature is requested for items delivered using our next day service What happens if I am not in when you try to deliver If you are not in when our couriers first try to deliver and they cannot find a safe location to leave the package they will leave a card and then take your order back Please read the card which will explain what you need to do they will either try and re deliver or in some cases you may need to pick your order up from the depot Who will be delivering my goods TNT couriers and Royal Mail dispatch all of our goods who will deliver your order depends on the weight of the goods you have selected When will I receive my order If you placed your order on Monday before 10 00am it would be dispatched that same day using either our UK Standard Service at 3 5 working days or our TNT Next Day service For our Standard Service the earliest you could receive your order would be Thursday morning and the latest you could receive your order would be the following Monday aternoon For our TNT Next Day Service you would expect to receive the goods anytime between 9 00 6 00pm Next working day What is a delivery working day Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday are all classed as delivery working days Saturday Sunday and Bank holiday days are not classed as delivery working days Can I receive my order using a quicker service Yes you can receive you order using one of our next day services but you will have to pay more to use the service At the checkout screen please select the drop down box which states next

    Follow Us You are here Willow Growing Gallery View all images willow preperation shots 115 CNV00041 willows 025 Site Sign 1302x799 Green Willow CNV00042 willow for website 007 Coloured Willow 3 B W 1262x831 CNV00044 willow preperation shots 028 DSC 0004 willow preperation shots 066 willows 013 Field Willow 2 Willows 010 Next Prev Willow Growing Willows belong to the genus Salix and species of willow have been found amongst the earliest recorded flowering plants and grow in many countries of the world There are about 300 species of willow worldwide 19 species of which are regarded as native to Britain Willow sets or cuttings about 6 inches in length are planted out in the spring traditionally by hand but machines are now used The land has to be prepared as with any growing crop by ploughing and producing a seedbed Throughout the year the willow bed is weeded and carefully tended to in order to get a good quality crop of willow at the end of the year The willow is harvested from the second year onwards then annually for the next 30 to 60 years The stems of willow wands are cut after the leaf has fallen in November through to March Until quite recently all willows were cut using sharp hooks now most willows are cut with machines Harvesting is still very labour intensive as manual labour is required to gather them up after cutting and loading them onto trailers The cut willows are then taken back to the farm for sorting Some willow is kept for immediate sale for living willow constructions and river bank protection spiling this willow is known as green willow Some is kept alive by standing in pits of water until April or May to keep it alive until the sap rises
